From September 9th to 13th 2023 in Granada, within 11th IBRO World Congress of Neuroscience poster sessions, TWINNIBS researchers seized the opportunity to present their most recent work.

Institute for Medical Research (IMR) team shared insights from the TES-EEG study about the neural underpinnings of associative memory, the study investigating whether variations in emotional state modulate the effects of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) on memory in healthy human participants and one study aiming to form a battery of adequate cognitive tasks which could be used to tap into a biological substrate of inhibitory control.

Apart from that, IMR researchers discussed systematic reviews of basic and clinical research of transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) for associative memory enhancement, as well as one about transcranial electrical stimulation as a tool for modulating gambling behaviors.
