About the Event

Join us in Belgrade for an extraordinary week of professional development tailored for Early-Stage Researchers (ESRs)! The TWINNIBS ESR Week 2025 is designed to equip participants with essential skills for successful research careers, focusing on scientific writing, Horizon Europe project proposals, and community building.

The event brings together ESRs from various neuroscience disciplines to foster collaboration, skill development, and networking opportunities in a supportive, interactive and interdisciplinary environment. The lectures and practical workshops will be delivered by renowned international experts from the TWINNIBS project partner institutions and beyond.

Program Highlights:

Scientific Writing Workshop (23–25 April 2025)

Master the art of publishing with a workshop dedicated to the scientific writing and publishing process. Learn from experts about structuring your manuscript, addressing the following topics through interactive lectures and hands-on workshops:

Transforming research into journal-ready manuscripts and selecting the “right” high-impact journals

Navigating the publishing process: advice, experiences, and responding to reviewers

Open science, transparency, and boosting the visibility and impact of your research

ESR Community Building weekend (26–27 April 2025)

Celebrate connections and collaboration! Social events over the weekend will help participants strengthen networks and foster interdisciplinary cooperation. The event will provide ample networking opportunities fostering connections among lecturers and participants.

TWINNIBS Project Writing Camp (28–29 April 2025)

Sharpen your skills in developing successful Horizon Europe (HE) proposals through this interactive cam where you will learn about:

Introduction to Horizon Europe: Background, calls, rules, and guidelines

Call Selection and Decoding: How to decode calls and identify the best opportunities

Proposal Writing: Key sections of HE proposals, including excellence, impact, implementation, and budget planning

Target Audience: Who Should Attend?

ESRs (PhD candidates and postdocs within five years of earning their PhD) in the field of neuroscience. ESRs from Serbia, TWINNIBS partner institutions, and beyond are welcome to apply.

Additional Information

Cost: Free of charge for participants.

Official Language: English

Seats are limited, so apply early to secure your spot! Priority will be given to ESRs from TWINNIBS partner institutions and European Society for Brain Stimulation (ESBS) members. Registration is mandatory.
