As a part of the activities leading to the establishment of NIBS Centre at IMR, the IMR team organized the first meeting aimed at the Constitution of the Institutional Steering Committee (ISC).

The ISC is comprised of distinguished IMR researchers from different fields with the relevant experience that can contribute to the future development of the Centre:

• Snežana Tomanović, full research professor, head of the Medical Entomology Group and the Center of excellence for food – and vector-borne zoonoses (one of the two centers of excellence in the IMR)
• Vesna Vučić, full research professor, head of Nutrition and Metabolism Group, and the Center of excellence in Nutrition (the other of the two centers of excellence)
• Vladan Čokić, full research professor, head of the Molecular Oncology Group and the most successful IMR applicant for the grants awarded by the Serbian Science Fund
• Ivana Drvenica, associate research professor at Immunology group, awardee of the Serbian Science Fund grant for Excellent Young Researchers.
