About the Event 

The Noninvasive Brain Stimulation School is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for researchers, students, and health-care professionals to get acquainted with noninvasive brain stimulation techniques and their application. This event is designed to provide a theoretical foundation behind different brain stimulation techniques, understanding of the latest advancements and applications in the field, while also offering hands-on experience with different techniques, as well as networking opportunities.  

 Lectures 

The experts in the field will deliver insightful lectures covering the following topics: 

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)  

Transcranial Electrical Stimulation (tDCS, tACS)  

Emerging methods for precision brain stimulation 

Ethical and safety considerations in brain stimulation 

Clinical applications of brain stimulation in neurology, psychiatry, and rehabilitation 

Hands-on Workshops

The school will also offer immersive and hands-on training sessions, giving participants the opportunity to acquire practical skills in: 

Conducting safe noninvasive brain stimulation  

Different TMS protocols for research and therapy 

Different tES protocols for research and therapy 

Measuring outcomes of noninvasive brain stimulation

This event is open to: 

Students, including undergraduate, Master, PhD students across relevant fields such as: neuroscience, technology, engineering, medicine, biology, psychology, rehabilitation. 

Healthcare Professionals, including medical doctors, psychotherapists, psychologists, speech and language therapists, clinical technicians.  

Researchers in all relevant fields including neuroscience, technology, engineering, medicine, biology, psychology, rehabilitation 

We welcome local and international participants. This means that the school will be open to participants from Serbia, Western Balkan countries, as well as other EU and non-EU countries. We strongly encourage participants from underrepresented groups to attend.  

Additional information 

No prior experience in brain stimulation is necessary, as the lectures and hands-on sessions will not assume prior knowledge and experience.  

 The official language of the school will be English. The hands-on sessions in small groups will be in English and Serbian depending on the group composition.  

Cost and Registration  

The school is free of charge for participants.  

We encourage all interested participants to apply as soon as possible by filling up the Registration form. Due to the overwhelming response and limited capacity, seats may fill up quickly. Early application submission will increase your chances of being selected as the applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis.
