1st Expert Workshop – Controversies in Brain Stimulation: Targeting Variability in Transcranial Stimulation Research

From 6th to 8th of October, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) hosted a prestigious expert workshop titled “Controversies in Brain Stimulation: Targeting Variability in Transcranial Stimulation Research.” With variability in brain stimulation research as an overarching topic, the workshop brought together a diverse array of speakers who are leading experts in the field.

TWINNIBS researchers from partnering institutions (IMR, LMU, UNITN, DRCMR) Saša Filipović, Jovana Bjekić, Walter Paulus, Carlo Miniussi, Luigi Cattaneo, Hartwig Siebner, and Axel Thielscher, presented their findings and discussed the approaches on how to tackle different sources of variability in NIBS research. The workshop encompassed a panel event for young researchers, where TWINNIBS Early-Stage Researchers (ESRs) Armita Faghani (REGIONH), Zahra Soltaninejad (LMU-KUM), and Marija Stanković (IMR) had an opportunity to present their feedback on the workshop content to the speakers and the audience.

The event fostered collaboration, networking, and the cultivation of new ideas that are vital for pushing the boundaries of knowledge in this evolving field.
